A Research about Patients¡¯ Satisfaction on One-stop Ultrasonography and Ultrasono-guided Biopsy

Abstract
Purpose: The study was designed to assess patients¡¯satisfaction on one-stop ultrasonography and USG-guided biopsy.

Methods: From May 2010 to July 2010, we made a survey of satisfaction on 86 patients who visited Dongsan medical breast thyroid cancer center using structured questionnaire.

Results: The participants were divided into three groups such as a group receiving ultrasonography only, a group receiving both ultrasonography and ultrasonoguided biopsy and a group who didnot receive one-stop service. The satisfaction on one-stop ultrasonography showed the significant difference among 3 groups and the satisfaction depending
on one-stop service showed the significant difference between a group receiving one-stop ultrasonography and a group not receiving it.

Conclusion: Out-patients¡¯satisfaction on ultrasonography and USG-guided biopsy on the same day was conducted and the result showed that the satisfaction increased in the group treated with ultrasonography. Upon the application of the results of this study onto the clinics, dissatisfaction factors should be improved by increasing the frequency of treatment with one-stop ultrasonography. In addition, it is necessary to make every effort to attract new patients through a full explanation from department of diagnosis and the kind service, which can increase the intent to revisit our hospital and improve the intent to recommend hospital.
